I wanted to take some time to write to you to say THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!!!!

I am quickly approaching 40 and had resigned myself to being a little chunky. I had my first son almost 8 years ago; and had never gotten down to my pre-pregnancy weight. Having twins over 2 years ago only made me chunkier. I slowly started filling my wardrobe with larger clothes. But for some reason; I held on to that pair of jeans I wore 10 years ago thinking one day I'd get back into them! I tried lots of different diets, but to no avail. I would only last a week. I tried various forms of exercise, but with 3 kids and a full time career, there was simply no time to go to the gym, and running around the neighborhood bored me. I got to the point where I hated the way I looked in clothes, and got upset seeing myself in the mirror.

I was talking to an old college roommate who told me about BOOT CAMP. She raved about it and I simply had to try it. Miraculously, it was something I could fit into my day...at 5 a.m., I was doing nothing but sleeping, and I could always give up some of that!

From the first day, I knew I'd be hooked. Never have I been so motivated. I found myself looking forward to my "boot camp days". I absolutely love your program because every day brings a new exercise regimen. How could you get bored - it always changes I Exercising outside is a blast - whether it's 100 degrees or 30, working out in the dark under the stars is just a thrill. You have such a way of motivating people. You're tough - you make sure we get the most out of our workout, but at the same time, you never show up without that huge smile on your face. I have truly learned about a new way to exercise - interval training just makes sense... and it definitely produces results! In just 3 months, I have lost over 10 pounds; have lost almost 2 inches in my waist and 3 in my abs. I have dropped my body fat percentage to below 20% - a 26% drop! The changes I made in my eating habits have made a real difference. The nutritional plan you teach is easy and effective, but also fulfilling. I have made a life long change ill my diet - and it's easy!

So now 3 months later, I feel like a totally different person. I walk with much more confidence, I am happy to see myself in the mirror. I have dropped 2 dress sizes and…I fit into those jeans again! Not only do I look much better, but I have more energy, and I have a real sense of accomplishment. There's many a time when that 4:30 am alarm goes off and I don't want to move, but when I am driving home at 6 am after boot camp, I feel totally fulfilled and am ready to face the day... .all this while the family still sleeps!

I could go on and on...like I said, you have simply changed my life. I am so grateful to you. It's obvious you have a lot of passion for what you do. You are a wonderful motivator, teacher and person. A million thank you's!!!!!

Dear Jean,

There have been countless times in the past few years that I have threatened to start my workout routine, but there always seemed to be some obstacle (mostly in my mind) that kept me from really doing it. First there was the wedding, then there was the baby, then there was the house, then there was work - after 4 years of excuses, it was time for me to get serious. I had been thinking a great deal about my health and my family. I really wanted to be as healthy as possible so that my husband, son, and I could share a long happy life together. I know it sounds hokey, but let's face it, I'm no spring chicken.

I started the thought process - ok, we can convert one of the bedrooms into a gym. But my husband kindly reminded me that the stair stepper that was purchased last year had barely been touched - ok, maybe not such a good idea. Then I thought, I will hire a personal trainer - well, I didn't realize that I would have to cut out my son's college fund contribution to pay for this trainer. Finally, I thought - ok, I'll just join a gym and really make a commitment to go "often". As I was driving by the gym one day, I saw your sign that said "Boot Camp 5AM. I thought - 5 A.M., that's crazy..who in their right mind would do that! Then I decided that a phone call to you for additional information wouldn't hurt. After our conversation, I felt like this might be a good thing for me - but first, I wanted to discuss it with my husband. You can probably guess what his reaction was, but who could blame him. He proceeded to tell me why this wasn't a good idea - you can't get up that early, you will be too tired, you will quit, you can't keep up with your book, etc. - I signed up the very next day!

I will have to say that I will never forget the first day, I thought I was going to have a heart attack right there in the parking lot. I guess I was in worse shape then I thought, but I was determined to make it through this. As time went on, I started feeling better, stronger, and had more energy throughout the day - I haven't felt this good in years! People started to notice a change, but the most exciting moment was when I tried on my size 6 jeans (from a size 8) and they fit!! I haven't seen that size since before my son was born and, of course, I had to share that moment with you.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" for your dedication, commitment, enthusiasm, and devotion to those of us who are trying to make positive changes in our lives. With your help, I have achieved a very personal goal, that at one time, I never thought was possible. Keep doing what you're doing because you have that special gift of helping others.
